Wow, that's good value!

I needed to make some birthday cards so I picked up a few sheets of patterned paper from the NEW Crate Paper "Party Day" line as well as the 12 x 12 chipboard sheet.  I didn't realize until I got home just how many embellishments I was getting with that
$6.50 chipboard purchase... it has 61 pieces (nope that's not counting the individual scrabble tiles)... which makes it just a little more than .10 cents per embellishment!!

The colours lend themselves well to both masculine and feminine cards or layouts and there are several pieces that aren't limited to birthday theme...  hot air balloon, kite, journalling pieces and tags!!

AND THEN I had a closer look at the Accent Cut Outs patterned paper and counted at least 24 double sided cut out pieces on that $1.35 purchase (tags, journalling pieces and borders).  Actually, there are 25 -30 pieces if you count the decorated ad strip on the bottom of the paper, just depends on how you slice it!!

Which leads me to my "ah ha" moment of the day...
"Ah ha, that's why Jenn always tells us to purchase those cut out sheets and coordinating embellishments... they go a long long way!!!"
Be sure to have a closer look at the cut out sheets and chip shapes that come with your favourite line next time you are in, I know I will be!!
